Who this is for
Almost everyone building restaurant lists here is selling into the restaurant rather than running one: point-of-sale and online ordering vendors, reservation and waitlist platforms, payment processors and merchant services reps, food and beverage distributors and brokers, equipment and smallwares suppliers, scheduling and payroll tools, insurance and financing providers, and the agencies that serve all of them. Multi-unit operators use it the other way around, mapping the competitive set before signing a lease in a new market. The job is the same in both directions. Find the restaurants that fit, learn enough about each one to earn a reply, and reach a person who can actually sign.
How it works for restaurants
Search, enrich, score, verify, and export all happen in one place. There is no export to clean and no second service to stitch in.
1. Search by keyword and area
Google Maps is unusually precise about food, and that works in your favor. Search the exact phrase your buyers use: restaurant, pizza restaurant, sushi restaurant, steakhouse, taqueria, bar and grill, cafe, brunch restaurant. Scope it to a city or draw a radius. Results are pulled fresh at search time, so you are working from what Google shows today rather than a file someone scraped last quarter.
2. Enrich every restaurant
Each result comes back with 50+ data points as part of the search: the email published on the restaurant's own website, social profiles, contact names and titles where the site lists them, review count and rating, website age, hiring signals, and 1,519 technology detections. The full field list is public in our data dictionary.
3. Score against your ideal operator
Search the exact term the businesses you want are listed under, for example independent full-service restaurants rather than the fast-food chains and cafes a broad keyword sweeps up. Every enriched lead is then read by AI and marked according to whether it really is a restaurant, quoting the sentence from the page that supports the verdict, so your team is not working through results that were never relevant.
4. Verify the contact email
Restaurants publish a reservations inbox or a generic address far more often than a named one, which is exactly where most outreach dies. The general business email comes from the restaurant's own website, never guessed. To reach a named owner or general manager where the site publishes no personal address, Lyre Leads matches that contact's name to likely patterns, SMTP-verifies each, and shows only confirmed-deliverable addresses in a separate field labeled as generated. Every address is labeled Verified, Catch-all, Unknown, or Rejected, and catch-all is never dressed up as verified.
5. Export or work the list in place
Push the qualified restaurants to CSV or the API, or work them in the People view with saved lists and notes. Every lead a search finds costs one token with enrichment and a verified address included and is re-checked monthly after that, so a scored, verified restaurant list is cheap to build and cheap to test on a single neighborhood before you commit to a metro.
Signals that qualify a restaurant lead
A pin on a map tells you a restaurant exists. The enrichment tells you what it already runs, which is both the qualifier and the opening line of your message.
- The platforms already in place. This is the standout for restaurants. Detections cover reservation and ordering software including OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Toast, and ChowNow, alongside payments, chat, CMS, analytics, and ad pixels. For most restaurant vendors this one field splits the market in two: restaurants running a competitor are displacement targets, and restaurants where nothing was found are greenfield.
- Rating and review count. For restaurants this is the clearest available read on whether a room is established and busy. Set the bar where your offer fits, whether that is a hundred reviews or a thousand.
- Hiring signals. An applicant tracking system on the careers page points to an operator with real back-office structure, usually a group rather than a single room. Those are the accounts with budget and a buying process.
- Website quality and age. A stale copyright year or an aging template site is an obvious opening if you sell web, marketing, ordering, or software, and a fast read on how much the operator invests in anything digital.
- Ad pixels. A restaurant running ad pixels is already spending on acquisition, which means proven budget and someone in charge of marketing to talk to.
Filter and rank on any combination of these, then let the AI relevance check strip out the businesses that were never restaurants. Every field follows a three-state contract: a value, a confirmed absence, or an honest blank meaning not checked. That distinction earns its keep here, because a confirmed absence of online ordering is a sales trigger and an unchecked field is not.
Restaurants also turn over faster than almost anything else you can buy a list of, which is the case against static files in general. We re-checked 4,527 business websites three months after first seeing them and published exactly what had died and what had changed, alongside a second study verifying 2,482 scraped emails of known age. Both are worth reading before you pay for any list, including ours.
Start on the free tier
You do not have to take any of this on faith. The free tier gives you 500 leads per month with no credit card, which is enough to run a real restaurant search in a market you know and read the rows for yourself: the enrichment depth, the platform detections, the AI ranking, and the verification labels. If it holds up, paid plans start at $39 per month for Growth (7,500 leads) and scale up from there. For a side-by-side with other Google Maps lead tools, see our comparison page.
