Industry deep dives
Six of these industries have their own page, with the numbers above plus what they mean if you sell into that market. The remaining six are held back until we can show these earn search impressions.
- Dentist website statistics: nearly a quarter have no website at all, the second-highest rate in the study.
- Auto repair shop website statistics: the least-digitised vertical we have measured, on two separate counts.
- Med spa website statistics: the most digitally mature vertical, and the most competitive.
- Roofing contractor website statistics: high job values, low digital maturity, almost no named contacts.
- HVAC company website statistics: almost everyone has a website, and almost a third cannot measure it.
- Veterinary clinic website statistics: the cleanest vertical in the study, and the one with the least to sell.
How we measure it
These are not survey results. We search Google Maps for a niche in a city, pull every matching business, then visit each one's actual website and read what is there: whether a site exists, what platform it runs, whether it has analytics and security, how fast it loads, and whether it is set up to be seen by AI. Every figure is a live scan of a real business. Where a business had no website, we counted that too. Figures update as we scan additional industries and metros.
