Outscraper alternatives: which tool gets you the most Google Maps leads with verified emails?

Outscraper is already one of the cheapest ways to pull Google Maps rows, so the right alternative depends on what you're missing. Apify's Google Maps Scraper costs about the same per place and splits a city into map screens for you. Scrap.io swaps live search for a stored index you filter by Google category, on a fixed monthly plan. HasData and Octoparse suit developers and no-code builders who want the rows and will do the rest. D7 Lead Finder sells cheap daily lists. Lyre Leads, which we make, searches a city from many points and includes a website relevance check and a mailbox check on every address in one plan. Every competitor fact below links to the vendor's own page.

Outscraper and six alternatives, compared

Prices, free tiers and verification as each vendor states them on its own site. Outscraper's website answered with a bot check on 14 October 2026, so its row comes from the price data its web app loads and its API documentation. The last column is our judgement.

Which Outscraper alternative gives verified emails without extra steps?

On Outscraper a verified email takes three billed steps: the places, the Emails & Contacts lookup on each website, and its separate Email Address Verifier, which runs an SMTP check on the mailbox. Most alternatives don't shorten that:

  • Apify's verification add-on checks the mailbox, but only for emails from its leads add-on, not the company emails it reads off websites.
  • Scrap.io's API documents mail-server checks (MX record, provider, webmail, disposable), not a mailbox check, though its marketing calls the emails verified.
  • HasData describes its Maps output as "public business contacts, not verified leads".
  • Octoparse has no verification product we could find.
  • D7 Lead Finder checks syntax, spam traps, blacklists and the domain, and says it doesn't check that the mailbox exists.
  • Lyre Leads checks every address it finds at the mailbox, through MillionVerifier, inside the plan, and labels catch-all addresses instead of counting them as verified.

The step matters. In our study of 2,482 emails scraped from business websites, 14.2% of the addresses a mailbox check could decide were dead, and a third sat on catch-all domains that accept every address (the decay study).

Is there a cheaper Outscraper alternative?

For raw rows, only just. Outscraper charges $3 per 1,000 places after the first 500 free, and $1 per 1,000 past 100,000. Apify's Maps scraper is $3 per 1,000 on its $19 Starter plan and $1.50 on its Business plan. HasData's no-code Maps scraper costs 3 credits a row, which HasData puts at $0.25 to $0.89 per 1,000 rows on its paid monthly plans. D7 sells by searches a day rather than by row, from $44.99 a month.

Lyre Leads isn't cheaper per row and doesn't try to be: $39 a month buys 7,500 leads, where each lead arrives enriched from its website, checked against your keyword and with its email verified. Compare it against Outscraper's places plus emails plus verification for the same list, not against places alone.

Which alternative finds the most businesses in a city?

Outscraper scrolls one search per query up to its stated ceiling of 500 places and tells you to split dense areas; its app can split a city by zip code or neighbourhood. Apify's scraper splits a location into many map screens itself, and Octoparse's Google Maps Scraper template splits an area into overlapping grid points. Scrap.io filters a stored index instead of searching. HasData's API leaves the splitting to you, and D7 returns up to 1,200 leads per keyword and city.

Lyre Leads in complete coverage mode searches a city from many overlapping points and merges on Google's place ID. In our test of 24 trade-and-city pairs it found about 2.2 times as many businesses as one paged search in the median city, and 7.5 times as many roofing contractors in Houston (method and numbers). We haven't measured Outscraper's zip-code splitting or the other tools against that test, so treat the table as how each one searches, not how much each one finds.

When is Outscraper still the better choice?

When you want cheap, flexible extraction and you'll do the qualifying yourself. It's pay as you go with no plan, so an occasional user never pays for an idle month. One account reaches Google Maps, reviews and dozens of other sources through an API with official SDKs in six languages. Its verifier takes any address you give it, and it also sells a stored business database. If your team already has a cleaning and scoring step, Outscraper is hard to beat on price.

When is Lyre Leads the wrong choice?

  • You want the lowest price per raw row. Outscraper, HasData and Apify's larger plans all beat us on that, by design.
  • You need sources beyond Google Maps. Reviews sites, marketplaces and directories are Outscraper's and Apify's ground, not ours.
  • Your territory is small towns. In a town of 60,000 one search reaches nearly every business, so searching from many points adds little.
  • You want a whole country exported in one go from data that already exists. That's Scrap.io's design; we search live.

How do you test them before you pay?

Run one trade in one city over 200,000 people through Outscraper and the alternative, remove duplicates on Google's place ID, and count only businesses inside the city. Put every email from both through the same mailbox verifier, then divide what you paid by the deliverable addresses you got. Outscraper's first 500 places are free and our free tier is 500 leads a month, enough for a city the size of Tulsa or Tucson.
