Who this is for
Two kinds of teams build contractor lists on Lyre Leads. The first is contractors themselves, mapping subcontractors to bid a job, sizing up competitors, or lining up partners in a new region. The second, and the larger one, is everyone who sells into construction: building-material and equipment suppliers, tool and rental companies, project-management and estimating software vendors, insurers and bonding agents, lenders, and staffing firms. In both cases the job is the same. Find the right contractors in the right trade, learn enough about each to write a message worth reading, and reach a real person who can say yes.
How it works for contractors
The whole workflow lives in one tool. There is no export to clean and no second service to bolt on afterward.
1. Search by trade keyword and area
Run a live Google Maps search for the exact term your buyers match: general contractor, electrician, HVAC contractor, roofing, concrete, masonry, drywall, remodeling, excavation, landscaping. Scope it to a city or draw a radius. Because the search is keyword-driven, you can build a broad general-contractor list or narrow to a single trade, and the results are pulled fresh at search time rather than scraped last quarter.
2. Enrich every contractor
Each business comes back with 50+ data points as part of the search: the email published on the company's own website, social profiles, contact names and titles where the site lists them, review count and rating, website age, and 1,200+ technology detections across 36 categories. The full field list is public in our data dictionary.
3. Score against your ideal contractor
Describe the contractor you want to reach in plain English, for example established commercial general contractors with strong reviews that are actively hiring project staff. The AI evaluates every enriched lead against that description and ranks the list, so your team starts each morning at the top instead of reading a thousand identical rows.
4. Verify the emails you will actually send to
Your primary business email comes from the contractor's own website, never guessed. To reach a named owner or project manager where the site publishes no personal address, Lyre Leads matches the contact's name to likely patterns, SMTP-verifies each, and shows only confirmed-deliverable addresses in a separate field labeled as generated. Many contracting firms list more than one decision-maker, an owner and an estimator, for instance, and you can reach each verified contact. Every address is labeled Verified, Catch-all, Unknown, or Rejected, and catch-all is never dressed up as verified.
5. Export or work the list in place
Push the qualified contractors to CSV or the API, or work them inside the built-in CRM. Enrichment is roughly one token per five leads, so a scored, verified contractor list is cheap to build and cheaper to test across several trades at once.
Signals that qualify a contractor lead
A raw pin on a map tells you a contractor exists. The enrichment tells you whether they are worth your time and gives you the hook for the first line of your message.
- Rating and review count. Volume and score separate an established firm running multiple crews from a one-person operation just getting started. Set the bar wherever your offer fits, and vary it by trade.
- Hiring signals. When a contractor runs an applicant tracking system on their careers page, they are staffing up for more work. A firm adding crews or office staff has budget and growing pains worth solving, which makes it a warmer lead for supply, tooling, software, and financing offers alike.
- Website quality and age. A stale copyright year or an aging site is an opening if you sell web, marketing, or software, and it is a quick read on how modernized a contractor's back office is. Plenty of strong trades still run outdated sites, which is exactly the gap some sellers want.
- Technology stack and ad pixels. The 1,200+ detections show what a contractor already runs: CMS, scheduling, chat, CRM, analytics, estimating tools, and ad pixels. If they run ad pixels, they are already spending on acquisition and have proven budget, a useful qualifier before you spend an email on them.
Filter and rank on any combination of these, then let the AI put the best-fit contractors on top. Every field follows a three-state contract: a value, a confirmed absence, or an honest blank meaning not checked, so a missing cell never quietly misleads you.
Start on the free tier
You do not have to take any of this on faith. The free tier gives you 500 tokens per month with no credit card, which is enough to run a real search for your trade in a market you know and read the rows for yourself: the enrichment depth, the AI ranking, and the verification labels. If it holds up, paid plans start at $29 per month for Growth (5,000 tokens) and scale up to Agency at $399 per month for 100,000.
