Build a Lead List Inside Claude

Connect Lyre Leads to Claude and ask for the businesses you want in your own words. Claude runs a live Google Maps search on your Lyre Leads account, and each business comes back with what its own website says: the business email and whether it's deliverable, the owner where the site names one, the software it runs, and whether it really is the kind of business you asked for.

The short answer

Add https://lyreleads.com/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, switch it on in a chat and ask. Claude can show you a free sample before you have an account. Your first real search opens a sign-in window for a free Lyre Leads account, 500 leads a month with no card, and from then on everything happens in the chat. Claude asks you before it runs anything that spends tokens.

Connect it

  1. In claude.ai, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Lyre Leads and paste https://lyreleads.com/mcp as the URL.
  3. Under authentication, pick Sign in when needed. Claude may guess "No sign-in", because the free sample works without an account; that guess is wrong here. Under OAuth client, pick Use Claude's published identity. Leave everything else as it is.
  4. In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and switch Lyre Leads on. If it isn't switched on in the chat, Claude can't see it and will tell you it can't find us.

Claude's free plan allows one custom connector. In Claude Code, the same connection is one command: claude mcp add --transport http lyre-leads https://lyreleads.com/mcp, then /mcp to sign in. Every other client and the raw tool list are in the developer docs.

What to ask

Plain sentences work. These are the ones we test with, and what each one does.

You askWhat happens
"Preview roofing contractors in Houston, TX with Lyre Leads."A free sample: the first page of one Google Maps search, with phones partly hidden. It needs no account and saves nothing, and it doesn't include emails.
"Search plumbers in Austin, TX with Lyre Leads."The first time, Claude shows a Connect button. You sign in, approve the connection and come back to the chat. Claude asks before the search spends tokens, then lists the businesses. Each one is read from its own website over the next couple of minutes, and Claude reads the results back when they're in.
"Which of them run ServiceTitan? Which show no booking software?"A question about leads you already have. Free.
"Find the owners at the ones without a named contact."Contact discovery looks for the owner or another named person on the public web and checks their email. 2 tokens per person found, verification included. Claude asks first.
"Search all of Houston for roofing contractors."The whole-city search, which runs as a background job. Claude can size it first for free, and checks back until it's done.
"How many tokens do I have left?"Your balance in tokens, and the link to the plans if you need more.

What comes back for each business

  • From the Google Maps listing: name, category, website, phone, address, star rating and review count.
  • The business email, with its state. Verified means the receiving mail server confirmed the mailbox. Catch-all means the domain accepts any address, so nobody can confirm it, and we never call that verified.
  • A named contact, when the business's own site names one or contact discovery finds one: name, title, and their own email with its state.
  • Relevance: whether it really is the kind of business you searched for, with the sentence from its own homepage that says so. Google Maps returns the wrong kind of business often enough that this matters.
  • Software: the website platform, CRM, booking system, live chat and email marketing tool, plus the other technologies we recognise on the page.
  • Signals: hiring, ad pixels installed, and what a merchant's site says about how it takes payment.

Every field is three-state: a value, a confirmed absence, or not checked. "No CRM found" on a site we read is a finding you can sell against. A blank on a site we couldn't read isn't.

One search, start to finish

On 16 October 2026 we asked Claude for a quick search of plumbers in Austin, Texas. Google Maps returned 20 listings, 19 of them new to the account, so the search cost 19 tokens. Within about two minutes every site had been read.

Ten of the 19 had a business email, and seven of those verified. Three of the businesses named their founder or co-owner on their own site, and for two of them we had that person's own verified address. Seventeen were confirmed as plumbers by a sentence on their own homepage; the other two couldn't be judged. On the software side, four of the 17 distinct websites ran ServiceTitan, one ran Jobber and one GoHighLevel, and on the other eleven we found no CRM or booking platform on the homepage. If you sell software to plumbers in Austin, that's the split you'd want before the first call.

What it costs

The free account is 500 leads a month with no card. Prices are in tokens: one new lead costs one token, so a search costs 1 token for each new business it finds, and a business already in your account costs nothing. Reading each site, the relevance check and email verification are included. Contact discovery is 2 tokens per person found. A whole-city search in a big city can find thousands of businesses, so ask Claude to size it first; that's free.

Plans are bought on the website, not in Claude: Growth is $39 a month for 7,500 leads, and the rest are on the pricing page. Unused tokens roll over, up to three months' allowance.

What Claude can do on your account

When you connect, our approval screen lists it: Claude can run searches and other actions that spend tokens from your balance, the same way the website does, and read the leads, contacts and searches in your account. It never sees your password or your billing details.

Every tool that spends tokens or changes your account is marked as one, and Claude asks your permission before running a tool marked that way. Tools that only read run without asking. You can disconnect it at any time under Account, API Keys, Connected apps, and the connection stops working within a minute.

Limits worth knowing

Claude reads leads a page at a time, up to a few hundred per request, which suits a city's worth of plumbers and gets slow for a whole country. For thousands of rows, export from the Database page on the website. A whole-city search takes minutes, sometimes longer, because it searches the city from many overlapping points rather than paging through one search; that found 1,061 roofing contractors in Houston where one paged search stopped at 255. In a small town the difference is small and the quick search is enough.
